Jeff Dutko

Lined and Ruled

Pickled
Inside the hot incubational jar of a mini-van's rear hatch
Staring
Up through the black lines of the rear window defroster
Spaced
Perfectly apart just like yellow legal composition paper
Only
Transparent enough to allow us to watch nimble clouds
Writing
Autobiographies that dance their way beyond the margins
Voluminous
The accounts composed within ruled lines struggling to stay
                                                                                                Coherent
