is a god-fearing atheist, invincible when traveling or
near large bodies of water, and addicted to books, nicotine and caffeine.
She thinks making one's bed every morning is irrational and a total
squandering of valuable energy. And oh, she used to work for Reuters as a
Health and Sciences Reporter.

was born in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico but proudly raised in the Bronx.
She has a MFA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a BA from Cornell University.
