Makes you shudder, does that man.
He chops wood
with a hearty smirk
as if he's splitting heads,
tosses logs gleefully into the fire
like they're corpses.
He holds you tight
like he's trying to break your bones,
kisses hard,
near smothering, near biting.
But he's a good man, you say.
He let the wolf live.
And you've a dead cat
to prove it.
